Hello All,

I hope that someone can understand english.

So I am new in Germany, living in Koblenz area, originally i am from Russia. I used to play HardBall, but this is something different to airsoft.

I would like to start with AirSoft but have no idea how and what to do, where to get a weapon, protection for try game and so on. Could you please help with that, and I can join coming games )

Ilya.

You can check out Area M which is a playground located  in your area. There is an event section here, additionally you could search for their website.

In general I recommend putting the ASVZ site into a translation app and read through the forum section. Please pay extra attention to the laws in Germany because we have only few permissions, so you should take your time. Do not ask friends from abroad to send guns to you, all legal airsoft guns must be marked by the importing supplier and the model itself must be registered (not the invidual model but the model in general).

Concerning all your questions, please read the forum first, then ask again with specific questions.

Have fun around here.

best thing to do would be learning the very particular german laws concerning airsoft.

Welcome to the community and this awesome hobby. The cheapest way to start AS around Germany is to find a gaming ground („Spielfeld“) in your area. Go there and try to rent a gun.

You need eyeprotection (certified glases) and a mouth guard made of metal wire is recommendable.

Rule of thumb: Every Airsoft gun in Germany with more than 0,5 Joule must be marked with a special F sign given by the officials. Never carry an airsoft gun openly in public. Transport everything concerning the gun in closed bags or cases which must be secured by a metal lock!

Also I would recommend not to walk around in full camo in public.

A good shop is Begadi.de.

Thank you gents, for your answers!

- German laws, that is the most difficult part. I can read this political language but to understand ... pfff ... I am understanding that important part is no auto, no lights and laser markers on a gun, and up to 7,5 Joules with F mark on a gun with caliber and BB.

But the question is it any permission needed, written, paper and all this bureaucracy stuff?

- Googles, mask, It should be certified and would be checked? Or I can use mine from HardBall, I am guaranty that it has no problems up to 10 Joules with 4,5mm BB or bullet ;)

- Arena M. I have seen this Spielfeld where it looks like I can rent a gun, so from me only clothes, googles and mouth mask?

No permissions or paper work at all needed, you can buy guns at any store you want, it just has to have proper import markings. But you don't need to worry about that if you stay with common german shops.

So basically I just buy a gun (in German store as it was suggested Begadi), put it in a locking case with a locker and finito....

Sounds not that complicated as I thought)

Also, expect airsoft to be very casual around here. People are usually very concerned about safety distances and overshooting. That means when in doubt, its better to take it easy, especially on a field like Area M where there are a lot of mixed players. Depending on the field or team, there may be a lot of rules, even stating if you may arrive dressed up in camo or not. Its good to always know exactly what the rules of the field are or you might be sent home before the game even starts. I suggest deepl.com for good translations. Also, its always good to just ask if youre unsure, many Germans speak english and should be willing to help.

Have fun and take it easy.

Just some thoughts:

if you are not a nativ german speaker, it would be a great idea to print this:

https://www.airsoft-verzeichnis.de/index.php?status=forum&forennummer=&sp=1&threadnummer=0000096743

(site 1 , first Post)

Store it in your Guncase.

If you have a "Cop with special needs", who is over reacting or doing his "german shit", you have at least some paper/paragraph.
