I think it's not a good hint, to safe money on your eyeprotection.

Swiss Eye Raptor in my opinion is the minimum standard of eyepro - it's less than 30€ and has all the important certifications eg STANAG2920.

UVEX working Goggles are NOT as resistent to "ballistic strains" as goggles like the Swiss Eye Raptor.

Typical Uvex goggles are designed to resist an impactenergy of aprox 8 joule.

A milspec goggle like the Swiss Eye is designed to resist up to 71 joule.

You got only two eyes.

If you prioritize looks, get an AEG.
They run on a battery, so there's little to no recoil.
If you want a bit of feeling, geta GBB (gas blow back).
Those run on compressed gas and provide a bit of recoil, how much depends on the gun.

For around 250€ you can get a good GBB-semi-auto pistol, like a H&K USP45 or a 1911.
Rifles are generally more expensive, if bought new.

Coming from the USA you might have some experience with live-fire handguns, so maybe it'd be an option to find an airsoft-replica of a gun you used to shoot/want to have for real.
Note that some airsoft-guns carry authentic markings, which greatly improves realism but also increases the price tag.
