In germany many of the symbols of the third reich are forbidden by law. There are exceptions. You're allowed to wear these things in private, or decorate your house with it, but it's not allowed to show it in public.

Because airsoft isn't completely accepted in germany, especially by officials, many organisations of airsoft events forbid WW2 stuff to prevent getting into the public eye.

Yeah that makes sense, that's one thing I was worried about also being a ww2 collector,i have a nice collection of stahlhelms actually had a small business restoring them for awhile and I didnt want them to get taken away from me if they were in my home for display only

This can be kind of tricky. I think that actual collectors of antiques like this can give you much better information regarding the import and how to declare them.

The most simple way to play Airsoft in Germany is by buying all gun related things in this country.
Beside WW2 stuff you may also find field owners who forbid signs of military ranks or honor/valor. Although you are a soldier and have earned this stuff you should consider leaving those signs at home since playing Airsoft is a game and we have enough (optical) relations to the military.

What I have not seen in this thread is a hint towards the strict regulations of the transport of your gun.

It is not allowed to carry firearms or look- alikes of those if you have no permission. Airsoft weapons are such look- alikes. As such you have to carry them a) concealed and b) locked (!) in a bag or case.

I think that is what I will do I will probably ship my rail system and a couple more small things with my gear but otherwise I will just pick up a gun over there seems alot less stressful all together haha.
