Portuguese player need some help

Hello all,

First of all, I have to apology for writing in English but I´m still learning German.

My name is Hugo, I´m a Portuguese Airsoft player since 2004. Recently I move to Germany (Kiel) and now I´m trying to find players and fields that are willing to let me play with them.

I already know that the airsoft replicas in German need the F mark and single shoot, so none of my replicas are allowed to play where. However is it possible do ship some of my tactical equipment (vests, radio, optical devices, etc) by mail to my German address?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome Hugo :)

Of course it is legal to bring all of your gear to Germany. Except for two things... Lasers and flashlights wich are ment to be mounted on a gun and nightvision scopes. Everything else is absolutly fine and legal :)

The radio could be a problem too. Depends of the type and the functions. ;) But I think Komandohamster could tell you more about it.

Olá Hugo,

your radio is not a problem, if it is a PMR (personal mobile radio) and works inbetween the frequencies 446,0Mhz an 446,2Mhz.

This is the range allowed in germany.

(Source: BundesNetzAgentur = The Federal Network Agency for Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Post and Railway)

Thank you all for the replays.

I´m already doing contacts with the players around Kiel.

Regarding the radio, in Portugal we have the same allowed frequency's.

Once again thanks for the help.

Gruß

Hi, Hugo

Do you need some links to Shops?  I know some good ones. These also repair, sell high quality brands  and built custom airsoftguns. Does the airsoft guns in Portugal need to have a bricht color body?

Hello Hugo,

relating to your radio: in Germany radios using the PMR Channels are only allowed to have a transmission power of 0.5 W max. If it's over that mark you would would need a special permission as a amateur radio operator. So if your radio is too strong you better get rid of it in Portugal and buy another one here in Germany. If it doesnt apply forget what i said and carry on.

Good Luck.

AR-15,

Please send me the link, thanks for the info.

Regarding your regulation, things are a little different. Airsoft is only allowed for 18+ and you need to be apart of a official club or federation (They are several's). If you are caught without your federation card you will get your weapons arrested and a fine (I know some cases of 400 to 700 € but It can be higher) .

The replicas have to be painted with bright red or yellow like this:

It isn't pretty but you can cover during games and you can have full auto :)

This is the thing that I don't understand in German law, how can you distinguish a replica from a real gun, looking for the "F"? and that is the reason of the none full auto?? This are my "2 cents", I don't know the full extension of the law.

SiegMajor,

Regarding the radio the law is the same :)

In Germany the F just says that this is a legal Sportsgun below the Power of 7,5J so everybody older than 18 can own one. It can look like a real Gun because you are not allowed to carry it in public anyway, therefore we don´t have Orangetips etc.

But because Airsofts in Germany are seen as Weapons/Sportsguns they are not allowed to fire in Auto-Mode. Fullaoto is forbidden to any Weapons exept Army and Police.

You could bring your portuguese Airsofts with you, but only if you lower their Power to less than 0,5J! Below 0,5J they are treated as some kind of toys, so fullauto would be allowed- but carrying around in public is still forbidden because of the look of a real Gun.

Always Carry your Weapon in a Lock-closed Bag or Suitcase!

Further to mention many Germans don´t like anything military, so i´d recommend to stay looking as civil as possible when going to - or leaving from a Game.

General Tipps:

Ask before you buy a airsoft here, which gearbox internals it has. (I had a gearbox with plastic bearings.)

If you buy a 0.5 joule AEG, it should be spring-downgraded. So the Gearbox life longer.

Something strange:

I play a lot in Great Britain. In 13 days we had 10 events. We also met a player from Portugal, reanacting HITMAN.

If you have further questions, send me a message.
